I am writing to highly recommend Robert Wilson Construction for any home remodeling project. Robert and his team of employees and specialty subcontractors are wonderful people to work with, and the quality of their work is outstanding. The work in our home was extensive replacing all interior doors, many exterior doors and windows, selecting hardware as needed, redesigning several closets, installing chandeliers and other lighting, supervising the complete refinishing of our hardwood floors, and finally painting inside and out. The finish carpentry and workmanship throughout is magnificent; the house painting is gorgeous. Attention to detail and keeping the workplace clean was evident at all times.
Robert himself is a terrific general contractor. He possesses a good sense of humor and is easy to work with. Indeed, I now count Robert as a friend. He is punctual, flexible, and a good listener. He is open to changes along the way, and is also comfortable making suggestions that come from his years of experience. Robert managed our project well, staying on schedule and within budget. (In my extensive experience with remodeling projects, this doesn't happen often!) We chose to do our work on a time and materials basis, but it is still worth noting that Robert's estimates of anticipated overall costs were incredibly accurate. I can say with great confidence that you too will be exceedingly happy with Robert's work.

Rob is hands-down the best contractor we have used. We hired him to build a detached studio on our property that we also use as a vacation rental. He was always accommodating and worked around our guests' schedules, which was not easy.

Robert and his crew did an excellent job for us on our barn in Kenwood, which was a ground up, new construction project. We are very pleased with the end product and process. The quality of work is excellent and Robert is great to work with all around.

We had the immense fortune to get to work with Robert Wilson and his crew at R.A. Wilson Construction. We did a gut remodel of our house as well as a small addition. We happened upon Rob by what I can now say was the luckiest coincidence ever. We had planned to start our project, and got our permits right at the start of COVID, that created not only a pause in our plan but when we got to re-evaluate it 10 months later, the prices and the shortages had created an impossible situation. As we slowly felt like our plans and dreams were slipping away, Rob came in to rescue us. We knew the minute we met him that we wanted to work with him, his professionalism, his straightforward explanations and discussions, he was everything we needed and more. Rob was able to simultaneously calm our nerves and get us re-excited for our project. One of the most important pieces of advice I received when we started this project is do NOT just go after who gives you the lowest number, this is a long, and at times, challenging process. You want to work with someone you trust, someone who you enjoy being around, someone you can communicate and talk to. I didn't realize it at the time, but that is the best advice we received. This is not to say Rob was expensive, no, he is extremely fair and reasonable for the exceptional quality of workmanship. Rob, became not only our builder but our ally. We communicated on almost everything, it really felt like we did this together. He brought up so many incredible ideas to add value and sometimes even to save money. Our partnership throughout this process was the most important and best thing we could ask for. His crew, well there is none better! They are skilled, thoughtful, friendly and kind individuals who we felt were building our home as if it were their own. They were seriously, a pleasure to work with. When the project was over, while we were so excited to be moving into our dream home, we were truly sad our time was over with them. Our kids even said "I hope Santa knows where they live so he gives them extra special gifts this year". To this day though, Rob has been there for us, his team and his incredible sub-contractors have all been there for us whenever we had questions or something has come up. We are forever grateful to Rob and his team for putting the love and care into our home, for working with us through budget concerns and just overall fear at times. It truly was not only an amazing finish on our dream home, but also a very special relationship we gained out of it. Thank you, Rob and Team!

I had a fairly small job but Rob and his crew were great, they showed up on time, were very respectful of my property and their work was exceptional but best of all, Rob checked in every day sometimes twice a day. I think the best part of working with RAW Construction was the level of communication beginning with but not limited to Rob, I always felt I was being heard and my thoughts and opinions taken seriously. I would absolutely recommend this company...you will not be disappointed!

Rob and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. Beginning with a detailed budget proposal to completion of the shade structure next to our swimming pool six months later, the process was as smooth as silk. When I urgently needed help, Robert Wilson's presence at my new home was like being visited in real life by the idealized movie version of a contractor. Under time pressure and in a heartbeat, he came through for me on a range of issues, traveling far out of his way to inspect and protect, and even diagnosed, on the spot, a mystery issue that had confounded others. On initial walkthrough, he helped spontaneously generate creative ideas to resolve accessibility issues, offered affordable solutions and reality-based reassurance about things like concrete slab integrity, a tricky potential remodel, etc., and communicated everything clearly with the wisdom, warmth, empathy, and ethical value alignment like what you'd expect from a dear and trusted friend. Such authentic dedication to craft, calling, and customer is famously hard to find, and so it's not at all surprising that everyone I've talked to since who has also worked with him--including peers in his field--all hold him in the very same high regard. Robert Wilson deserves all the stars, and then some.
